Sam Hennemann, Board Member
Sam is a Christian, a husband, a father, a business owner, and a local church member. It is his aim to be an active, successful participant in each of these roles.
He lives with his wife and two kids in Victoria where his State Farm office is located. Among the gifts the Lord has given him is a desire to connect people - to each other, and to resources - that aid their growth in Him.
While the Lord has called us to honor and worship Him in a unique way one day per week, Sam believes God has given us the other six days of work, worship, and service to Him, to make known the greatness of the name of Jesus in our workplace ministries.
Kathy Sullivan, Board Member
Kendra Brown, Secretary
I am a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a mentor. Above all, I am a Child of God and a follower of Jesus Christ who is passionate about encouraging His saints to walk in the freedom He died to give us all.
In my professional life, I’m a builder. Working with Merrill Lynch, Waddell & Reed, Starbucks, and Lifetouch Portrait Studios, I built successful teams, processes, client experiences, and programs. After turning 50, I was committed to building the Kingdom, and started my work in Christian nonprofit organizations. I worked in the Planned Giving department at The Salvation Army and now serve at Seed Company by connecting investors to Bibleless communities all around the world to bring God’s Word to all people.
The Lord has blessed me with a Christian husband, David, a true servant of Christ. We are parents to “our boys,” Hoppi and Hewi, who are the cutest Maltese dogs you’ve ever seen. David and I share a heart for the lost and hurting. God has perfectly blended our gifts together so that we can minister to people as a couple, as well as individuals. We have lived in about 12 different places in our 30 years together, and we now make the Twin Cities our home.
Some of my favorite things include worship music, photography, writing, cooking, and a good movie.
Shawn Gardner, Board Member
Shawn has spent his 25+ year career as a business banker, working with entrepreneurs in the Twin Cities. Shawn came to faith in his mid 20’s and has been active in ministry ever since. Shawn has led small groups within the church, participated in mission work and started an outreach ministry serving the community providing free handyman services.
Introduced to Bible Study Fellowship when his oldest of four children entered 1st grade, he was asked to become a group discussion leader and then the Teaching Leader, a role he served for 11 years.
Shawn strongly believes that faith and work are not two separate parts of life, we need to bring the light of Jesus Christ into our places of employment where God has placed us.
